Adding map to your page is so simple now: few clicks, copy and paste.
Wikimapia

"D" says...Adding any kind of map to your site is important to the usefulness of the site. For example: Giving directions to a favorite wifi hotspot, letting family members know where the pizza/birthday party is at, directions to your garage sale etc... So I see this as a valuable tool and I suggest trying it out to see if it is as valuable as I think it is.

Meebo for your website! - ajax im version 2

ajax im is a complete instant messaging system for your website; akin to Meebo without needing to pay for tons of expensive servers. This system uses Javascript/PHP/MySQL to allow users to communicate between users of the ajax im script on your site. No refreshing of the page is ever needed, as everything is updated in real-time via the JavaScript.

"D" says...
I like the idea of being able to talk to visitors to my site in real time. I think it needs to be integrated into a desktop IM client. If I am doing something else besides staring at my blog and someone wants to ask a question who are they gonna talk to? Does this offer the ability to communicate with/to another app such as Gtalk or Blogger IM?

Has Zoho Got Google & Microsoft Beat?

While Google is in beta, and Microsoft crawls along with their Windows Live deployment, Zoho already has a free full-featured, fully-operational online collaborative office & communications suite. And unlike Live & Google, you can even add your own custom apps to it. Why isn't the industry taking notice? Maybe Google & Microsoft should.
"D" says...
Jump in and give it a try. Most of what Zoho has to offer is free to use and the best thing is...you don't have to download and install the damn program!

Digg Forces Shutdown of DiggGames.com Domain

DiggGames.com, a site that hosts a panorama of web games featured on Digg, was recently forced to abandon its domain name due to legal complaints. Furthermore, "digggames.com" has been banned from being entered as a story URL. While Digg's actions are understandable, its nature as a democratic online outlet makes such restrainment questionable.

Adding Digg card to your site

Today I have added "Digg Card" to the site. This was really easy. It took about 2 minutes to accomplish and as you can see it seems to work flawlessly. Here is what they have to say at the DiggCard site.

"Digg card is a way of inserting your Digg.com Profile on to your website.

It's really simple to do all you need to do is add the following code to your webpage.

Simply replace the EnterYourusernamehere text with your digg username"

Go there to copy the code and modify it with a text editor like Wordpad or... and then paste it in your template.

This could be a cool add on to a site but I think it needs some tweaking first.

Have fun!

Why DIGG.com

DIGG.com is a very useful site if you are looking for Internet related articles, freeware, websites that pertain to your interests etc...etc...
DIGG.com also allows you to share what you find important as well as drive traffic to your site...if you have one.
Having DIGG on your site is as simple as copy and paste. Copy the code they give you and paste it into your site so it displays where you want it to. This will display the 5, 10, 15 etc. top most DUGG articles in the category of your choice.
I have installed it and it took me about 2 minutes. You will find it on the left side column, about 5 spots down.
DIGG and enjoy!

Neomyz adds "Functionality and Fun"

Neomyz.com has some attractive add-ons to your blog/site. You need to sign up of course.

  1. An RSS display box/reader that will display your favorite RSS feed, "Right on your site". It comes in an attractive package. Unfortunately, with the free version you only have one design choice. I am currently displaying this "Reader" in the right hand sidebar of the site. As of 8/13/06 the RSS feed displayed is that of Craigslist MN, Computers section. I believe that any site that has an RSS feed is compatible with this reader.
  2. You can have your own dynamic poll in less than three minutes! You don't even have to run a web page to use your poll - you can use the "Get Poll Link" feature and send the generated link to the respondents by email. I have not used this feature. I use a different web polling service called VIZU . I found this on a another Blog called "The Not so News"
  3. Games. Games you can have right on your Blog/site. 1 Game is available FREE the rest are availble via paid subscription. I do not use this feature so I am not sure how well it works. Give it a try and post a comment here so we know how well they work.
